The doors open today for Care Show Birmingham 2026, bringing thousands of care professionals, technology providers and industry leaders together at the NEC Birmingham for two days focused on the future of social care.
Taking place on 7 and 8 October 2026, the event is expected to welcome more than 4,500 care professionals, alongside over 300 suppliers and more than 200 expert speakers. From care home operators and registered managers to technology specialists and sector decision-makers, the show provides an opportunity to explore some of the biggest changes currently taking place across UK social care.
This year, technology is likely to be one of the major talking points.
Artificial intelligence, digital care planning, electronic medication management, workforce management, compliance, data and connected care systems are increasingly changing how providers manage their services. Many of the companies developing these solutions will be demonstrating their latest technology at the show.
Care Software Providers to Watch at Care Show 2026
A strong line-up of care technology companies is exhibiting in Birmingham this year.
Care Vision AI will be exhibiting at Stand L30, presenting its digital care management technology. Its platform brings together areas including care planning, EMAR, reporting, HR, rota management and billing, with AI increasingly becoming part of the wider system.
Person Centred Software can be found at Stand G40. The company is presenting technology covering care management, medication management and other connected care operations. Visitors will also have an opportunity to see CarerOS, which is designed to connect different areas of care management within a more unified working environment.
The Access Group is another major technology provider attending the event, exhibiting at Stand H40. Its care technology covers areas such as digital care planning, eMAR, compliance, workforce management and rostering. AI-enabled tools are also becoming a more prominent part of its care software offering.
Other notable names on the exhibitor list include Nourish Care at Stand H20, OneTouch Health at Stand K10, CoolCare at Stand E20, CareLineLive at Stand L25, CareMeds at Stand F42, PASS at Stand E40, PredicAire at Stand J45 and several other businesses working across care technology, medication, workforce management and digital transformation.
AI Looks Set to Be a Major Theme
Perhaps one of the most interesting areas to watch this year will be the growing role of artificial intelligence in social care.
AI is moving beyond being simply an industry talking point. Software providers are beginning to integrate it into everyday care operations, from recording information and producing insights to supporting care planning, compliance and administrative processes.
The conference programme reflects this shift, with dedicated discussions looking at how AI can be used practically within care services. Sessions are expected to explore both the opportunities and the questions care providers need to consider before introducing AI into day-to-day operations.
The bigger question is no longer simply whether AI will enter social care. It is how providers can use it responsibly while maintaining accuracy, oversight and the human element that remains fundamental to care.
More Than a Technology Exhibition
Although software and digital innovation will have a significant presence, Care Show Birmingham is much broader than technology alone.
The exhibition brings together organisations working across care equipment, medication management, dementia care, workforce development, compliance, health and wellbeing, recruitment, training, finance, care environments and other areas of the sector.
A programme of presentations, discussions and expert sessions will run alongside the exhibition. Visitors will therefore be able to move between product demonstrations and conversations about some of the wider challenges facing care providers.
For managers and operators, this creates an opportunity to compare solutions directly rather than researching each provider separately.
Digital Care Continues to Move Forward
The range of technology being presented at this year’s event highlights just how quickly digital transformation is progressing across the care sector.
Care homes once relied heavily on paper records and separate administrative processes. The direction of travel is now towards connected platforms capable of bringing care records, medication, staff management, compliance, reporting and other operational information together.
The next stage appears to be making those systems more intelligent.
Rather than simply storing information digitally, emerging platforms are increasingly focused on helping teams understand and act on that information more efficiently.
That could make Care Show Birmingham 2026 particularly interesting for providers considering their next technology investment.
Two Busy Days Ahead at the NEC
Care Show Birmingham runs from 10:00am to 5:00pm today, Wednesday 7 October, before returning from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Thursday 8 October at Hall 3 of the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.
With hundreds of exhibitors, live demonstrations, expert speakers and thousands of professionals expected through the doors, the next two days should provide a useful snapshot of where UK social care is heading.
And if the exhibitor line-up is anything to go by, AI, connected care systems and smarter digital management are likely to be among the biggest conversations at Care Show Birmingham 2026.
